members will be happy to conduct a piece of music or at least to beat time so
that the rest of us have a chance to start and finish together! However, if you
have some music that you'd like to play but not conduct, then please bring it
along with enough copies to go round.
Helen is one of the brightest young talents on the recorder
scene. She graduated from the Trinity College of Music in 1993 with a first
class degree and the Post-Graduate Certificate in performance with distinction.
She divides her time between performance, teaching and arranging. She visited
Holland in 2003 as a concerto soloist, and has performed at the Purcell Room on
London's South Bank, with the Parnassian Ensemble. She is director of the
Recorder Summer School, Assistant Musical Director of the Hampshire Recorder
Sinfonia and Conductor of the Thames Valley Recorder Orchestra. Helen is a
regular conductor at many major courses and festivals.
