BA, B.Mus, Dip. in Mus. Teach. (NUI), MA (QUB), DMA in Choral Conducting and Pedagogy (U.Iowa)
Marion has been a tutor on the Irish Recorder and Viol Course for thirty-five years, on the Easter Early Music Course in Ascot for twenty years and with Eileen Silcocks she has co-directed a Renaissance and Baroque Chamber Music Course in La Bourboule in France for the last seven years. Marion has also taught on early music courses in Austria, Germany and Wales. She is in regular demand as a continuo player on harpsichord and is a keen viol and viola player. Since her return from Iowa in 2004 Marion has been teaching conducting at St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin, where she was Head of Music for twenty-three years.

The Scottish Recorder Festival started in 1985 and has taken place nearly every year originally in Alva, the home of Hillfoots Branch. It is organised by other Scottish branches in rotation. Since 2004 it has moved to other locations and in 2010 is organised by Edinburgh Branch.
