The Society organises national festivals annually, incorporating

Branches take it in turns to present a festival, which moves around the country.

Future SRP Festivals:

The 2010 National Recorder Festival will be held on 8th & 9th May at Orwell High School, Maidstone Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk IP11 9EF. Details to follow, the contact is

The 2011 National Recorder Festival will be held on 16th and 17th April 2011 in Somerset

The 2010 Scottish SRP Festival will be held at in Ediburgh on Saturday 22 May, 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Further details here

The Cheltenham Recorder Festival is will be from August 20th - Sunday 22nd August 2010. A fantastic choice of tutors, types of ensemble and styles of music - this weekend really does have something for everyone!

Previous SRP Festivals

The 2001 National Recorder Festival was held in Bristol on April 21st and 22nd, 2001, and organised by the Bristol and Bath branches.

The 2002 National Recorder Festival was held in Guildford on April 6th & 7th 2002, organised by the Guildford branch.

The 2003 National Recorder Festival was held in Manchester on April 26th & 27th, organised by Manchester Branch.

The 2004 National Recorder Festival was held in Winchester on April 17th & 18th, organised by the Wessex branch.

The 2005 National Recorder Festival was held in Brentwood, on 23rd and 24th April, organised by Essex Branch.

The 2006 National Recorder Festival was held at Casterton School, on 1st and 2nd April by Cumbria Branch

The 2007 National Recorder Festival was held at The Mount School 31st March - 1st April by York Guildhall Branch

The 2008 National Recorder Festival was held at Weald of Kent School, Tonbridge on 19th and 20th April, hosted by the recorder players of Kent (Kent branch, Weald of Kent branch and Dunorlan Recorders)

The 2009 National Recorder Festival was held at Prior Pursglove College, Guisborough on 25th and 26th April, by Cleveland Branch. Recordings of playing during the festival available here.
