Since 1937 The Society of Recorder Players has been stimulating interest and enjoyment in the art of recorder playing.

SRP National Festival 2010

The Festival is a non-residential weekend of playing and other recorder-related activities.

It includes the SRP Conference which starts at 9:30 on Sunday 9th May

It is on Saturday & Sunday 8th & 9th May 2010, this year hosted by Suffolk Branch in Felixstowe

It opens at 9am, so if you do not live locally, you may well want to arrive at your accommodation on Friday.

It closes at 4pm on the Sunday

The activities include:

  • Massed Playing (three sessions)
  • Smaller Group Playing - six levels of difficulty plus Multi-Choir/Recorder Orchestra
  • Lectures organised by ERTA
  • Two concerts, one by a small group, the second by the Eastern Recorder Orchestra.
  • Evening Quiz
  • Exhibitions by several shops of recorders etc.
  • Yuzuru Yamashiro Recorder Clinic (revoicing & repairing wooden recorders) available on Saturday 8th May.
