Each festival commissions music to be played at the festival and made available to branches. Full details of these commissions are on the  Commissioned Music page.

The 2024 SRP Festival was held on 22-24 March 2024  at Haberdashers Schools,  Monmouth, and was organised by musical advisor Caroline Jones with her group, Black Mountains Recorders. 

The 2023 National Recorder Festival was held on 1st -2nd April 2023 at George Watson’s College, hosted by the Edinburgh branch.

The 2022 National Recorder Festival was held on 22-24 April 2022 at Chantry Academy, hosted by the Suffolk branch.

The 2019 National Recorder Festival was held on 12-14 April 2019 at Ushaw College, Durham, hosted by the Durham & Newcastle branches.

The 2018 National Recorder Festival was held on 14th-15th April in Eastleigh, hosted by Wessex Branch.

The 2017 National Recorder Festival was on 8th-9th April in Cambridge, hosted by Cambridge, Beds & North Herts and Peterborough Branches

The 2016 National Recorder Festival was on 2nd-3rd April in Lincoln, hosted by Lincolnshire Branch.

The 2015 National Recorder Festival was on 18th-19th April in Wolverhampton, hosted by South Staffordshire Branch.

The 2014 National Recorder Festival was on 12th-13th April 2014 in Truro hosted by Cornwall Branch.

The 2013 National Recorder Festival was on 11th-12th May 2013 in Dublin hosted by Ireland Branch.

The 2012 National Recorder Festival, organised by Guildford Branch, was held  St Teresa’s School, Effingham Hill, nr Dorking on 21st and 22nd April.

The 2011 National Recorder Festival, organised by Somerset Branch, was held in Cheddar on the 16th and 17th April.

The 2010 National Recorder Festival was held on 8th & 9th May at Orwell High School, Maidstone Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk

The 2009 National Recorder Festival was held at Prior Pursglove College, Guisborough on 25th and 26th April, by Cleveland Branch. Recordings of playing during the festival available here.

The 2008 National Recorder Festival was held at Weald of Kent School, Tonbridge on 19th and 20th April, hosted by the recorder players of Kent (Kent branch, Weald of Kent branch and Dunorlan Recorders)

The 2007 National Recorder Festival was held at The Mount School 31st March – 1st April by York Guildhall Branch

The 2006 National Recorder Festival was held at Casterton School, on 1st and 2nd April by Cumbria Branch

The 2005 National Recorder Festival was held in Brentwood, on 23rd and 24th April, organised by Essex Branch.

The 2004 National Recorder Festival was held in Winchester on April 17th & 18th, organised by the Wessex branch.

The 2003 National Recorder Festival was held in Manchester on April 26th & 27th, organised by Manchester Branch.

The 2002 National Recorder Festival was held in Guildford on April 6th & 7th 2002, organised by the Guildford branch.

The 2001 National Recorder Festival was held in Bristol on April 21st and 22nd, 2001, and organised by the Bristol and Bath branches.
