Congratulations to Charlotte Barbour-Condini, a 15 year old recorder player who was one of three finalists in this year’s BBC Young Musician competition. This is the first time that a recorder player has ever been a finalist. Charlotte won the woodwind category final with an outstanding programme including the mediaeval Trotto, Sonata Seconda by Castello and Music for a Bird by Linde.Charlotte repeated her success in the semifinal where she was one of the three of the five semifinalists chosen to go through to the final where she performed Vivaldi’s Recorder Concerto
