Diary date: 2019 Festival

Friday 12 to Sunday 14 April 2019, Ushaw College, Durham.

The Durham and Newcastle SRP Branches are delighted to be hosting the 2019 National Festival in the magnificent buildings of Ushaw College, Durham.

Only recently opened to the public, the college is now a popular venue for performing arts, festivals, conferences and community events. Festival events will take place in a number of the College’s stunning Victorian Gothic spaces, including the Exhibition Theatre and St Cuthbert’s Chapel (designed by Pugin – pictured).

The organising committee is planning an exciting line-up of musical events for the festival, with more details to be announced soon.

  • I have tried to book online today at the discount price but it keeps asking for a pseudonym and won’t let me progress to the payment page. I’ve tried to do it on my laptop and on my phone but get the same response both ways when I click on Book. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? If I print off a paper copy and post it I will miss the deadline for the discount. Thanks, Carolyn Hall

    • Hi Carolyn,
We’ve been having an issue with the booking page, so please bear with us. You have until 31st January for the discounted price, so please try again later in the week.
      Best wishes,
      Sara

    • Hello,
Thanks for your enquiry. The ticket for the Red Priest concert is a separate charge, as we realise that not all festival participants will be able to get to Durham in time for the Friday night.
      Best regards

    • Hi Joan
Full details – including information about the shuttle bus – will be available on the website in the next few weeks, along with the online booking form. There will be an announcement on the front page of the website when the information is published. In the meantime, you can email the festival organisers at: festival2019atsrpdotorgdotuk.
      Best wishes
