Some years ago, while studying at Guildhall, I commissioned a box for my treble recorder. It was made by a friend of mine who is a woodworker. The world turned, I have not become a professional recorder player and it’s time for somebody else to enjoy the box.
This beautiful case is made from two different woods and has compartments for the three recorder joints and one for joint grease and so on. The compartments are lined in foam covered with black velvet. It has a false bottom which conceals two keys which are held on embedded magnets.
The box is in the condition it was in when it was made and is a beautiful place to keep your precious instrument.
I am open to offers but am looking for upwards of £150.
I’m in Cardiff and travel to York every couple of months.
