Chantry Academy, Mallard Way, Ipswich IP2 9LR.

This was previously called Suffolk New Academy and some satnavs may still show this. It is a modern high school, with playing on 3 floors (with a lift). There is disabled access to all of the site.

There is ample parking at the venue.

OUTLINE OF FESTIVAL STRUCTURE

Friday – Delegates’ Conference pm, buffet supper, evening concert by Parandrus (Charlotte Barbour-Condini, Daniel Swani and Grace Shih).

Saturday – Opening massed playing of commissioned piece at 10am, 5 sessions during the day with a choice of up to 7 conductors (ranging from easy to very difficult), with a participative evening performance of the Masque of Oberon.

Sunday – 3 multi-choice sessions (similar to Saturday) starting at 9.30 and a final massed play after lunch, ending at 3.30.

There is also a composers’ competition with winner’s performance and the usual shops will be present selling music and instruments.

Multiple tickets are available for all meals and the concert.
