Young persons recorder ensemble

Small ensemble class ideal for young players from 8 – 18yrs playing at grade 1 – 6 standard on any recorder. The session will cover basic techniques, a range of repertoire, music theory and the chance to play other size recorders.

The group meets monthly on Fridays 5.00-6.00. Session cost £8.50. (free tea and coffee for parents!)

We are a small group of adults, playing a wide range of music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere under the guidance of a tutor. As this is an intermediate level ensemble, a reasonable standard of technique and sight-reading is expected – together with the ability to play one-to-a-part from time to time.Why not come and join us on Monday evenings during term time.

Level 1 which is suitable for for absolute beginners as well as ‘lapsed’ players and runs 4 – 5.30
Level 2 which assumes competence on at least one size of recorder and includes music in 3 – 6 parts
Recorder Consorts which assumes competence on F and C recorders and the ability to play an individual line within an ensemble.

North Wales

 
The Young Rockorders
are a new group which started in January and meet once a week: Thursday 4.30-5.30 at St Asaph VP infants school, St Asaph, North Wales
We welcome children aged from 8 upwards with some previous experience of playing the instrument.
There is a £4 session fee. We currently have members playing garklein, sopranino, descant, treble, tenor, and bass but are looking particularly for good descant players and trebles/tenors.We play popular pieces, film and TV themes as well as classical and baroque music. The children are involved in the running of the group, making suggestions about music choices, concert venues etc… and most recently decided on the name for our group!Further details can be
