This is a thriving group with 25 members from a wide area, some travelling by train from Bath, Yatton, and Tiverton.  We meet on term-time Tuesday mornings in St Michael’s Church, Stoke Gifford from 10am to 12noon.  We perform at community events, and have guest conductors to run workshops.

Recorders Level 1: Module 3 (Wednesdays 20.00-21.30)

For players who have been learning less than a year, or for those who are returning to playing after a break. The course will focus on extending note range, learning new techniques and some ensemble playing. Starts on 18 April.

Recorders Level 2: Module 3 (Wednesdays 16.30-18.00)

For more experienced players. There will be an emphasis on gaining confidence playing the higher notes, developing more advanced techniques and playing consort music. Starts on 18 April.

Recorder Consorts and Ensemble ((Wednesdays 18.15-19.45) 

For experienced players who can play at least 2 different recorder sizes. The focus will be on 20th-century music this term, with some Baroque and Renaissance consort music. Starts on 18 April.

Advanced Recorder Consorts and Ensemble (Mondays 15.45-17.45) 

For advanced players, who can play at least 2 sizes of recorder. The focus will be on Baroque and 20th-century music. Starts on 16 April.

North Wales

 

The Young Rockorders
are a new group which started in January and meet once a week: Thursday 4.30-5.30 at St Asaph VP infants school, St Asaph, North Wales.

We welcome children aged from 8 upwards with some previous experience of playing the instrument.
There is a £4 session fee. We currently have members playing garklein, sopranino, descant, treble, tenor, and bass but are looking particularly for good descant players and trebles/tenors. We play popular pieces, film and TV themes as well as classical and baroque music. The children are involved in the running of the group, making suggestions about music choices, concert venues etc… and most recently decided on the name for our group! Further details can be
