2016 Playing Day

Come and join us on Saturday 9th April, 2016  10.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m at

Denham Village Hall, Sunnyside, Denholm, nr Hawick, Scottish Borders TD9 8LZ.

The visiting conductor will be Moira Usher

Moira Usher is one of the founders of the Eastern Recorder Orchestra (EROS) and has been the conductor since the orchestra started in 2007. After graduating from Trinity College of Music in London Moira taught music in high schools for 13 years, when she retrained for Special Needs work. Moira joined the SRP in the 1970s and was a co-founder of the Suffolk Branch in 1985. She conducts at the majority of branch meetings and since 1991 has been a pastoral visitor for the national SRP and enjoys visiting and conducting other branches throughout the country. 

There will be three sessions of playing with a break for lunch 12.30 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Lunch will be available in the village where there are cafes and pubs or you can bring your own. Tea and coffee will be provided.   Please bring a music stand.
