By Public Transport

Exeter Stagecoach services K J and T travel up and down Topsham Road from the city centre. St. Leonard’s Road is just off the Topsham Road, roughly opposite St. Leonard’s church.

Buses from Plymouth etc. come up Topsham Road and turn up Barrack Road, past the Main Hospital. You could get off at this junction and then walk towards the city centre (it is about a kilometre), or get one of the above buses to St Leonard’s Road.

From the Railway Station, the H bus goes to the city centre, then on to the Hospital. It is possible to get off this where it turns left off St Leonard’s Road into Wonford Road, it is only three or four minutes walk from there.

From the South (A380/A38/M5)

Avoiding the M5 Leave the A38 onto the old Exeter By-Pass (A379), signed for Exeter City Centre, Matford Park and Ride, Marsh Barton and the Hospital

Follow this road to a roundabout where you go more-or-less straight on (strictly the third exit, though this may not be clearly apparent). Follow sign for Dawlish, A379.

At the next roundabout, take the first exit – Dawlish is off to the right here.

At the next roundabout (large, traffic lights all around, CCTV cameras, small mobile phone mast!), turn left signed to Exeter City Centre. This is Countess Wear roundabout.

Now follow the common instructions below.

Using a short part of the M5 Follow the A38 onto the M5, and leave at Junction 30.

Take the first exit off the roundabout (left) onto a dual carriageway (A379).

Very shortly after a large complex junction with two sets of traffic lights, take slip road off to the left, signed to Exeter and Hospital (A379).

This brings you to a slip road onto four-lane road – join this and move over to the right-hand lane.

At  the roundabout (large, traffic lights all around, CCTV cameras, small mobile phone mast!), turn right, signed to Exeter City Centre. This is Countess Wear roundabout.

Now follow the common instructions below.

From the North (M5)

From the North (Crediton, Tiverton)

A bit tricky as you have to negotiate around the centre of the city.

Follow the A377 (Cowley Bridge Road) towards Exeter City Centre.

Look for an Esso petrol station on the right (high wall on the left) – soon after this is a right-fork side road. This is signed for the M5, the Hospital and the City Centre for lorries.

Ignore the sign to go straight on for the City Centre.

Follow this road to a double mini-roundabout (Greenslades Service Station on the left).

Fork right to go past the railway station on the right. This is Bonhay Road.

Follow this road under arched railway bridge.

Look out for sign left to City Centre and Hospital.

At traffic lights (big tower block office building on left) turn left – this will shortly take you under a (road) bridge.

Move into right-hand lane when you can.

Go through pedestrian lights, then junction with lights (right-turn only, no left turn).

Then under footbridge.

At top of hill, at junction with lights turn right – this is a bit complex, but is signed for Honiton, M5, Exmouth and Hospitals.

Follow this road (Holloway Road, becomes Topsham Road).

Immediately after the white footbridge, turn right into St Leonard’s Road.

Our venue is only a very short distance along on the right.

From the East (A30)

Avoiding the M5 Go under the M5 at Junction 29, and turn left at the next roundabout.

At the next roundabout (services on your left) take the second exit, but make sure you are in the right-hand lane.

You will now come onto another roundabout (M5 Junction 30). Take the fourth exit from this, onto a dual carriageway (A379)

Very shortly after a large complex junction with two sets of traffic lights, take slip road off to the left, signed to Exeter and Hospital (A379).

This brings you to a slip road onto four-lane road – join this and move over to the right-hand lane.
