Northumbrian Recorder and Viol School, founded in 1971 by Layton and Christine Ring
Recorder tutors: Oonagh Lee, Chris Orton, Jane Rumney and Mary Tyers.
Other tutors: Elizabeth Dodd, Alison Kinder, Susanna Pell and Jacqui Robertson-Wade (viols), Andrew Fowler (singing), Michael Williamson (baroque strings), Martin Eastwell and Richard MacKenzie (lutes), John Treherne (harpsichord).
We welcome recorder players, other instrumentalists and singers for a wide range of activities and repertoire spanning early renaissance to late baroque. Lavishly staffed with inspirational tutors. Generous bursaries available.
