Summer of ’65. 1465-1665

Liverpool Renaissance Singers perform glorious Summer music including Beatus Vir by Monteverdi and Salve Regina by Palestrina.

This concert is a summery feast of music showing early styles of writing, together with the dramatic shift into the more flamboyant baroque era.  The old style and the new style make a fascinating progression between 1465 and 1665.

Featuring some early choral classics such as Beatus Vir by Monteverdi and the wonderful Polyphonica recorder trio.  Graham Eccles is our organist and keyboard player.
