DUETS 1 – Mondays at 4.00 - 5.00 pm.
The level will be Intermediate to Advanced, but everyone is welcome to join these sessions.
Following on from the first Duet sessions, the repertoire will be music by Geminiani’s contemporaries in London in the 1720s and 1730s, so the flamboyant, quirky and elegant music of the Italian Baroque music that was then, and is still, is so justifiably popular. We will look in some depth at a different piece from the repertoire each week including music by Barsanti, Bononcini and Handel, finding the character and style, getting to know the Italian expressivity.
PLEASE NOTE it is not necessary to have attended the first sessions to enjoy this music!
