For the Kynge! In this session we’ll be looking and playing from the famous Henry VIII manuscript (GB-Lbl Add. 31922). We will play and discuss a selection of three-part dances, consorts, puzzles and songs. Intermediate and up instrumentalists welcome. Clefs for viols are provided. Gemshorns, crumhorns and other limited-range instruments welcome. Singers also welcome (with multitrack recordings).
This workshop will also be suitable for viols and other early instruments.
