Benslow Recorder Festival celebrates the recorder with ensemble, technique and orchestral sessions at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. It is led by tutors Tabea Debus, Alyson Lewin and Caroline Jones, with a recital given by SRP/Moeck 2019 prize winner Tabea Debus.

We will play a wide variety of ensemble music from the 15th to 21st centuries, and there will be an opportunity for one to a part playing.
Technique sessions will focus on posture, breath control and tone, fingering and articulation. Each level will work on a piece appropriate to the standard. Advanced players will explore extended techniques.
Orchestral sessions will have parts to include all abilities.
Alyson Lewin will give a talk on interpreting Renaissance music, and Tabea Debus, winner of the 2019 SRP/Moeck International Solo Recorder Competition will give a recital on Tuesday evening.
