Early Music Day, The Recorder: Lecture and Masterclass

Sat 15Oct2022

Presented by The Early Music Shop and Britten Pears Arts, the day’s topic is “Making Baroque music come alive” – the art of looking past the notes to find magic in the Baroque sonata. From finding a good tempo, to adding ornaments, to expressing emotion and musicality, we look at the sources available and see how a well-informed performance lets the music come alive in both practice and performance.
