National Youth Recorder Orchestra Easter Course

Tue 11 - Sat 15Apr2023

A residential course open to young players at Rugby School UK

Rugby School

Lawrence Sheriff St, Rugby CV22 5EH, UK

Tue 6pm - Sat 5pm

A fantastic way to get to know other young recorder players or meet up with old friends.

Our tutors, Joris van Goethem and Michelle Holloway, will guide you through rehearsals, technique sessions and chamber music and there is plenty of time to relax and socialise too. The course finishes with a public concert in the Temple Speech Rooms.

No audition is required and it is the perfect starting point for younger and less experienced players as well as providing playing challenges for the more advanced.

For players who live locally or have less experience of residential courses, we have provided a day student option at a lower cost. Players wishing to take this option will arrive in time for the first morning session and return to their families after the evening playing. Lunch and an evening meal are included in the day rate.

The course is suitable for players aged 10-21 and of around Grade 4 standard up to Diploma level. Parents of children who will be under the age of 10 years at the start of the course or who have not reached Grade 4 standard should consult the Administrator before booking - .

The fees are £397 for full board and £297 for day students. A non-refundable deposit of £75 is required to secure your place.
