On the 350th anniversary of Shrewsbury dancing master John Weaver (1673-1760), The Weaver Ensemble performs The Loves of Mars and Venus and The Loves of Pygmalion, using Weaver’s instructions on dance-drama.
His unique inspiration in combining characters and expressive gestures with the ultra-fashionable French style of court dancing was to change the future of ballet.
