Following their sell-out concert at this atmospheric venue, Sounds Historical return with their new programme which puts women at the centre and introduces you to some remarkable females who left a tangible musical legacy in many ways - from patrons to poets, printers to publishers and composers, students and scribes.
Including Isabella d’Este, Anne of Denmark, Anne Boleyn, Lady Russell Countess of Bedford, Jane Pickering, Isabella Leonarda, Elizabeth Herbert Countess of Pembroke and Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre.
Sounds Historical are Heidi Fardell (recorders/flutes), Mary Tyers (recorders/flutes/voice), Alison Kinder (viols) and Lynda Sayce (theorbo/lutes).
They love to chat to their audiences, introducing the music and instruments as the concert progresses.
