Caroline Jones and Miriam Monaghan are excited by a new collaboration- Gregynog Hall Recorder Weekend. The inaugural course will be held 22nd-24th January 2027, timed to brighten up a dark January!
Sessions will include split-level technique and ensemble sessions as well as en masse orchestra. We will play a wide range of music from early Renaissance to the present day. Please bring as many recorders as you can carry! There will be an opportunity to have a tour of the artworks including a Rodin sculpture.
This is a residential, fully catered weekend in inspiring surroundings. Gregynog Hall is well placed for both road and rail links situated close to Newtown.
Peter Booth of the EMS reminded Caroline that Gregynog Hall is where Theo Wyatt ran his Welsh Recorder Weekend in the 1980s, a happy return by the recorder to this lovely house and area of Wales.
