The hall’s car park has space for up to 12 cars at a weekend but other people sometimes park there. We are allowed to double park in the car park provided we only park behind a car displaying the Society of Recorder Players notice – let us know if you need a notice. If you can share transport that will ease pressure on the space. See Harpenden Town Council Site
Is it permissible for people to park in front of the front door to unload on double yellow lines before driving to a parking place. However the car must not be left unattended.
You may park in the municipal car park in Amenbury Lane, some 2 minutes walk away. Details on current prices can be found at St Albans Car Parks. You can pay using the PayByPhone app, location number 802747.
The 321 bus from Watford and St Albans stops only 1 minute’s walk from the hall. The 610 and 357 busses also regularly serve Harpenden, see Interlink timetables.

Chapel Halls, Brewhouse Hill, Wheathampstead, St Albans, AL4 8AG
The hall is located behind the former United Reform chapel on Brewhouse Hill, now a community gym. The entrance to the car park is to the right of the chapel building, opposite Wick Avenue and the Brewhouse Café.
There are around 20 spaces in the car park. If the car park fills up then parking is normally easy on Wick Avenue or Bury Green. Lattimore Road is also close, but is a steep hill. There is also a free village car park on the other side of the High Street in East Lane, which is 5 minutes walk away across the churchyard.
Bus 610 runs around once per hour on a Saturday, running through Hatfield and Harpenden. Bus 304 via Kimpton and St Albans has unfortunately stopped running before our normal finish time, see Interlink timetables. There is no train station.
