Welcome to the North Cotswold Branch.

We are a friendly group of recorder players who meet once a month at Sandford St Martin Village Hall, near Deddington and Chipping Norton (see the venue page for details). Our meetings are usually held on the last Saturday of each month from 2:00 to 4:30pm, with notified changes to avoid Bank Holiday weekends etc.

We enjoy playing a varied selection of music chosen by each month’s guest conductor. All you need to bring is your recorders and a music stand. Refreshments are provided.

Visitors are welcome and if you would like to try us out, your first session is free. You do need to be able to sight read and be comfortable playing your chosen instrument. Visitors pay £6 a session.

North Cotswold branch was founded in 1992 as an offshoot from the Oxford branch.

Membership

Annual membership costs £60 for individuals, £90 for a family and £30 for a full-time student or people under 30.

Membership offers free monthly meetings and a discount on the cost of our Playing Days. It also means you will be sent The Recorder magazine quarterly.

To see pictures from our most recent Playing Day with Helen Hooker please see our Gallery.

Next June we are looking forward to our Playing Day with Alyson Lewin.

Come and enjoy playing in a consort – the natural environment for the recorder.
