Denis Bloodworth, former conductor of the London Recorder Orchestra and former Musical Director of South London Branch, died in hospital on 23rd January 2016.

He led the orchestra for well over 20 years before ill-health forced him to retire as conductor a few years ago. He is also widely known as an outstanding arranger and many recorder-players worldwide will be familiar with his music.

Denis was a Vice-President of the Society of Recorder Players.
