The Society of Recorder Players promotes the study, practice and appreciation of the recorder. Our website is for everyone interested in playing, studying or listening to recorder music.
You can find general information about the recorder and its history and repertoire as well as an introduction to the Society of Recorder Players and details of its activities. Depending on your particular interest, you will find opportunities to play the recorder with others, and to study recorder at every level from one day or afternoon workshops to courses at degree level. If you want to buy or sell a recorder, or to find music, then have a look at the Instruments and Music section. Finally, we list concerts and competitions in the Performance section.
The Society has branches all over the country where you can meet and play the recorder – visitors are always welcome. To find a branch near you check the SRP Branches tab for a map and details of each branch and its activities.
The website is regularly updated with news of the latest events, and the News sidebar tells you what’s been happening recently. You read all our news on our blog page and stay in touch on Facebook, Twitter or by email. We also publish eNews, a regular email newsletter.
