Sonata in F Op.1 G.F. Handel (My wife refers to this as mangled Handel)
Handel’s were the first trio sonatas I ever heard and as double bass player I instantly recognised what we in the jazz world call “walking bass”. Bach’s bass lines were cleverer but Handel’s swung more. So in all humility I have taken his swing feel a step further. If anyone’s interested I will get round to publishing a piano part that would work without the bass, and a double bass part.
