Meetings are normally held on the first Saturday of each month (except for August), from
2pm – 5pm, at the Southdown Methodist Church Centre, The Hollow, Bath BA2 1NJ.
If you enjoy playing the recorder and can sight read reasonably well, then you are very
welcome to come. Bring your own music stand, all music is provided. We normally have a
30 minute refreshment break, please bring your own mug. We encourage all descant
recorder players to play another recorder as well (either treble, tenor or bass). Not all
music has a descant part or it may be unsuitable for less-experienced players.
Membership: Membership fees for 2025/26 will be £55 (households £75, Associate £20,
student £19.25). The fee includes £30 for central SRP (including payment for the Recorder
magazine) and £25 for Bath SRP and becomes payable on 1st September each year.

If a member is joining for a half year and has never belonged to a SRP group, a half price
membership maybe available. Please speak to the Treasurer.
Visitors are always welcome to come along and play. The first session is free and
subsequent sessions are £7.50
SRP Bath has over 300 pieces of music in its music library which is stored in committee
members’ homes and is available for all members to borrow. Please contact the secretary
