Bhangra Bounce  Bhangra music has its roots in Punjabi folk song and dance. The name was first used to describe the infectiously lively dance rhythms by immigrants living in Britain during the late 1960/70s. Recordings by modern bhangra artists use all the techniques and sounds of a contemporary recording studio, but this backing track features traditional instruments, dhol (drum) and santoor (zither) among others.
