Following on from Andrew’s performance of the complete cycle of Markus Zahnhausen's Signs of the Season, Andrew offers an online workshop series looking at the structure, character, style and techniques that make these pieces so atmospheric. We will concentrate on two movements of a Season per workshop. Course participants will be able to demonstrate sections of the music if they so wish.
The workshop series will be spread across eight fortnightly sixty-minute sessions, each covering two movements of a Season. Participants are required to have a copy of the music as this cannot be supplied due to copyright issues (published by Möseler, or more recently Schott, available form Recorder Music Mail).
Time:
Series 1: Tuesday morning 10:00–11:00, starting 12th January 2021
Series 2: Thursday evening 19:30–20:30, starting 21st January 2021
Number of participants limited to 20 per series.
There will some flexibility to swap between the two series if someone cannot make one week.
