Engineering works. Check for possible delays due to planned weekend engineering works here.

Car travel is simplest if you approach via the M3 (from the north) or the M27 (from east or west) motorways.

  • From the north. If approaching from the north Leave the M3 at J13 (Eastleigh). At lights turn right onto A335 Leigh Road. At next lights turn right into Passfield Avenue (signposted Airport, Leisure Centre). Continue straight ahead at mini-roundabout. At next roundabout take first exit onto Chestnut Avenue. Barton Peveril is on the left.
  • From the west. Leave M27 at J5 (Southampton Airport/Eastleigh). At roundabout take first exit into Stoneham Lane (signposted Chandler’s Ford, Concorde Club). At next roundabout take second exit onto Chestnut Avenue (signposted Town Centre). At mini-roundabout continue straight ahead. Barton Peveril is on the left.
  • From the east. Leave M27 at J5 (Southampton Airport/Eastleigh). On slip road keep to central lane. At roundabout take third available exit into Stoneham Lane (signposted Chandler’s Ford, Concorde Club). At next roundabout take second exit onto Chestnut Avenue (signposted Town Centre). At mini-roundabout continue straight ahead. Barton Peveril is on the left.

Fly to Southampton Airport and then taxi or on foot. A taxi from the station (100 m away) is likely to be cheaper than from the airport. A taxi from either the airport or the station will take 10 minutes at most. To access the Airport Parkway station platforms (no ticket required) turn left out of the airport arrivals building, walk 100 metres, cross the railway by the modern bridge in the station, with lifts, and exit the station. There is a taxi rank outside the station (2.3 km by road). Alternatively from outside the station walk 1.3 km north into Eastleigh along Wide Lane/Southampton Road and then turn left into Chestnut Avenue to reach Barton Peveril College in another km.
