Wind on Sand David Moses treble recorder (rabab, zills and hand drum). Jam along with Afghan musicians playing sand Rabab and drum and finger cymbals (zill). The drum sounds like a frame drum and Rabab is an Afghan lute with three melody strings, drone and sympathetic strings which, in its most most sophisticated form, evolved into the sarod of Indian classical music. The backing is made up of recorded samples of a live performance which have then been edited (cut up and rearranged) to make this piece.
