We meet at the

West Oxford Community Centre
Botley Road
Oxford OX2 0BT
01865 245761

Meetings are usually in the Main Hall, but sometimes we use the Mary Town Room.

You can find directions to the Centre on their website at woca.org.uk and there is a map here.

The Centre is at the Oxford end of the Botley Road, opposite St Frideswide’s Church

If you are coming from South of Oxford, we advise travelling by train if possible, because of the traffic problems detailed below.

Botley Road Closure

If you are travelling by bus or car,  please note that until the end of October 2024 Botley Road is temporarily closed at the point the rail bridge crosses the road near Oxford station .  If you are driving you will need to come along Botley Road from the west where it joins the A420 and the ring road. You will also pass a “soft closure” at Osney Mead, which you are allowed to pass to visit the centre. For more details including changes to bus services, see  the latest information from Oxford City Council.

Car

Although the WOCA website discourages car travel, there should be adequate parking at the centre on Saturday afternoons. The Centre itself has a small car park and there is an overflow car park which we can use provided there is no meeting of the local bowls club. In addition up to two parking spaces are available at the church opposite.

There is almost no street parking (except for cars with West Oxford Residents parking permits or Visitor permits). If there is no parking left at the Centre, the best thing to do is use the Seacourt Park and Ride (see above).

Train

The centre is 10 minutes’ walk from the station. Follow the main Botley Road west out of town. Cross the river and we are right opposite the church.

Accessibility

The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users and there is a blue badge parking space.
