2015 Festival is over! We hope that everyone enjoyed the occasion and the chosen music of the timetabled and massed playing sessions – (great feed-back so far).
We, the South Staffs branch, would like to thank everyone who helped make the Festival a success by their efforts, both before and during the weekend.
Thank you to all of the CONDUCTORS – the playing sessions were most enjoyable.
Thank you also to SASHA and ALYSON for their delightful commissioned pieces.
Thank you to all the SHOPS and EXHIBITORS
– to SUE ROBINSON, who provided the hand-made coasters as a suitable memento of the occasion
– to the ARDEN ORCHESTRA which entertained us in magnificent style during lunch time
– to PIVA for the evening concert and Renaissance dancing session which was brilliant.
Thank you to Wolverhampton Grammar School. They did a splendid job in providing us with staff willing to go the extra mile to accommodate our every need. The Site Manager and his team were on hand to facilitate every furniture change. ‘Chef’ and his team provided us with excellent food to suit all tastes (plus a constant supply of hot water for very many drinks!)
All this, combined with a weekend of sunny weather, helped enormously in keeping the 160 attendees happy and the weekend running smoothly.
And now over to Lincolnshire! Best wishes to you all as preparations begin to gather speed for Festival 2016.
Lots of hard work lie ahead but it is very rewarding when it all comes together.
