Our first SRP National Festival to be held in Wales took place in Monmouth from March 22nd-24th 2024. It was organised by musical advisor Caroline Jones with her group, Black Mountains Recorders.

It was held at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, Hereford Road, Monmouth, NP25 5XT, and benefitted from their excellent facilities and accommodation.

The festival featured a new work by John Hawkes, Cynulliad Mynwy (Monmouth Gathering), written especially for the Festival. It includes an optional part for Welsh Harp that was played by local musician Dian Winter.
