Getting there

By car
Ushaw College is just outside Durham, two miles west from the A167 Newcastle Road – the road to the College is signposted at a traffic light junction on the A167. The road passes through the village of Bearpark, and just after the village there is a right turn into the College drive (also signposted). There is ample car parking on the site: parking and entrances will be signposted.

The recommended postcode for satnav use is DH7 7DW (this is not the same as the college’s postal address)

Festival shuttle bus
A shuttle bus will run between these Durham City centre hotels and Ushaw, with an additional stop near the railway station. The bus will bring you to Ushaw for the beginning of each day’s events and will return to Durham after the evening meal. A Festival Bus Pass can be ordered with your booking, or single bus tickets may be available on the day, subject to availability.

Public buses
Scarlet Band 52 from Durham Bus Station to East Hedleyhope stops on the main road at the end of the college drive (not Sundays). See here for timetable.
