- Group session conductors: Michael Cameron-Longden, Ed Friday, Michael Graham, Marg Hall, Lynne Hope, Annemarie Klein, Anne Martin, Philip Thorby and Ian Wilson.
- Shops including The Early Music Shop
- Julie Dean will be present for recorder care.

Master Class for Advanced Young Players 2pm
A Master Class for advanced young recorder players, given by Professor Ian Wilson, will be included in the Festival on Saturday 9 May at 2pm
Young players, playing at advanced level, are invited to apply. Three players will be selected to participate, choosing the music they wish to play. Each player will have 20 minutes individually with Ian in front of an audience. There is no entry fee for the master class and participants are welcome to join in the rest of the day’s playing activities free of charge.
Any player interested in being selected must submit an application form providing the details requested.
Applications must be returned by 20 March 2026 to or returned by post, to Anne Martin, 17a, Eglinton Crescent, Edinburgh. EH12 5DD.
Any player under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We also need to know if the player will bring an accompanist with them.
Ian Wilson is Professor of Recorder at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Head of Woodwind at Eton College & Recorder Specialist at the North East Scotland Music School, Aberdeen.
Philip Thorby is one of the UK’s leading performers and teachers in the field of Renaissance and Baroque music. He was Professor of Recorder and Senior Fellow in Early Music at Trinity College of Music and teaches on courses nationally and internationally.
